Jessica Cox is a 26-year-old who was born without arms. As a child, she loved dance but found herself cowering to the back of the stage. Eventually, she found strength and realized that her disability couldn't stop her from living the life she wanted.
"I remember as a child that I always wanted to fly over the playground like Superwoman, because I was so angry about how limited I was," Cox says.
Now, Cox travels around the world to share her story with others who suffer from disabilities, telling them to leave the word "can't" out of their vocabulary. She uses her feet to help her through daily activities, like writing and driving. And, she's made her dream of flying a reality by becoming a pilot.
"Flying is the ultimate form of independence," she says.
Rightfooted is currently taking donations to finish a full-length documentary, sharing Cox's story. You can learn more here.
